Lithium-Ion Powered Electric Motorcycle (EMC)
Students: Tyler Gitter, Daniel Kaminske, Ben Luebke,
Travis Thul
Advisor: Professor Hue Tran
Location: Werwath Mall, between Allen-Bradley Hall of
Science and Walter Schroeder Library (L-100 in case of
inclement weather)

The EMC is an electric motorcycle that was fashioned
and designed with enough power and battery capacity to
meet demanding expectation. The EMC is tailored toward
daily city driving with the ability to achieve freeway
speeds. The EMC is designed to be customizable (via
programming) from the novice user all the way to the
expert rider by way of changing throttle response and
by governing the overall capable speed (if desired).
The EMC incorporates a powerful permanent magnet high
efficiency DC motor. This motor, coupled with new
Lithium-Ion battery technology, propels the EMC to
unbelievable heights in the Electric Vehicle (EV)
world. The EMC consists of many custom parts such as:
a motor controller, battery management system,
fairings, mechanical drive and mounts.
