ELECTRIC AUTO ASSOCIATION EDUCATION CHAPTER 


The Electric Auto Association provides incentives to faculty or staff 
who are employed at an educational institution and who wish to establish an
Electric Auto Association Education Chapter (EAAEC) at their institution.
EAA and its international network of chapters are 
committed to supporting the establishment of Education Chapters in order to
provide practical experience with electric drive personal 
transportation for the next generation of EV enthusiasts and engineers. 

PROCEDURE REQUIRED FOR ESTABLISHING AN EDUCATION CHAPTER: 


1. Compile a Statement of Intention to establish an EAAEC, which must
contain the following information: 
a. A letter of support from the hosting educational institution with 
documentation of 501c3 status. 
b. Name of the proposed advisor, with title, position, and time employed at
their institution. 
c. Names of a minimum of three student members, including their age, 
area of study, contact information and level of interest in electric 
vehicles. (Students are not required to be paid members of the Electric 
Auto Association in order to participate in an EAAEC; but may obtain 
full EAA member privileges upon payment of the EAA student membership fee.) 
d. A proposed starting date and schedule of monthly meetings for the 
academic year. 
2. Send the Statement of Intention to the Membership Chair, 323 Los 
Altos Drive, Aptos, CA 95003 

  

REQUIREMENTS OF AN ACTIVE EDUCATION CHAPTER 


1. Conduct monthly meetings which are free and open to the entire 
institution. 
2. Record attendance at monthly meetings. 
3. Submit monthly attendance sheets and a report of activities and 
projects to the Membership Chair at the end of each school year. 
4. At least one advisor must maintain up-to-date membership in EAA. 

COMMITMENT OF SUPPORT FROM EAA: 


1. Provide a complementary EAA membership to one prospective advisor upon
receipt and acceptance of a Statement of Intention. EAA membership includes
voting rights and a subscription to the EAA publication, CURRENT EVENTS, and
internet password access to past issues. 
2. Annually provide a complementary EAA membership to one advisor, upon
receipt of a renewal application with documentation of the continued
activity of an EAAEC. 
3. List EAAEC in organizational materials and on the EAA website. 
4. Accept for review for publication in CURRENT EVENTS any articles 
which are submitted by EAAEC and approved by the CE editorial board 
(must have appropriate references and credits). 
5. Provide technical advice and support to EAAEC through EAA chapters.
