Thanks Matt, that sounds like the same situation reported last July in
another EV Forum.

I did track down a lead in New Zealand that claims there is an E Wheel
source in Auustralia, but have not confirmed that.Their claim was a
$2500-6000  conversion.

I dont know if you are familiar with "Project Better Place", but that is a
project to mass produce (by Renault and others) EV for Israel. Prototypes
are running in Denmark. Their Forum has comments that led me to the New
Zealand project.

Also there is a company, Chorus Motors , that has a similar product, but is
concentrating on landing gear for aircraft.

One of the Youtube videos shows the Siemens system used in a 914 conversion,
but it is not E Wheel, just normal substitution in place of IC engine.

Hopefull we can meet at the next FLEAA meeting.
