Walter Try specifying your motor as 180 VDC which is standard industrial voltage. On 144 volts it will run at 1440 RPM so use a different pulley You might also want to consider a 230 Volt 3 phase motor and a 1.5 HP inverter designed for 120 VAC operation which will run on 144VDC.
