Whenever anyone opens a word doc (either by clicking on the name, or
dropdown->edit in MS word) we get the "Some files can harm your computer"
prompt. Clicking OK opens the file. We were able to fix this using the
steps here:
http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/jritmeijer/archive/2006/08/19/144065.aspxbut
it only seems to work some of the times.
This may be unrelated to the overall problem, though...

The bigger problem is that, even when EXPLICITLY choosing "edit in MSWord"
from the dropdown, clicking "save" on the document results in a login
prompt. If the user clicks "cancel" the file is saved and updated, but if
they type in their credentials it keeps re-prompting over and over. REALLY
odd.

A really interesting side note to this is that the developers have installed
SPEditor (FrontPage) from office 2007 and we do not have this problem; Instead
of "some files can harm your computer" we get the "How would you like to
open this file? Edit/Readonly/cancel" prompt. We can save without
issue. Obviously
in this case some office shared component is adding that prompt (even though
the file is opened in word 2003) and keeping the login prompt from
appearing.

Any ideas?
