not only do your back, but scrolling becomes an issue. i work [at home] off 2 22" wides; which seems to be enough for me.
i wouldn't really want three. at an old job we used to have 19" and 22" ws, which was also not bad. dual wides is the way to go [and cheap; only cost 600 for *both* of mine [300 each]].
