Bill, great idea; So nice to hear about everyone's summers! Here in New England we didn't have much of a summer weather-wise. It was unseasonably cool and we had a lot of rain for much of June and July. A few days here and there of hot and sunny weather in August, but I feel sad about the weather since we wait all winter for it! I spent the month of July at the Boston Writing project, part of the National Writing Project. If anyone is thinking of doing it, please let me know, it was a very intense month, but oh, so wonderful, and it's free! You get so many wonderful ideas to help you teach writing in the classroom, and you even get paid to do it! I also went to North Carolina to work on a book that is being published next year by a group of teachers from the Teacher Leaders Network. It was lots of hard work, but again, so wonderful. My real vacation was last week spent in Falmouth, part of Cape Cod. So nice to sit by the ocean reading an adult book, just for fun. Hope everyone enjoyed their summers; and your weather was better than ours!
