The script still uses the Denver OSM sample data and probably needs to be updated when the data extent is going to change. Would be nice to have a generic file name for the sample data. In 5.5 it was named "/usr/local/share/osm/Denver_CBD.osm.bz2", so the name would change every time a new area is selected.

Daniel,
Much as I think it is excellent to use sample data from the local foss4g city, I think it is time we picked one location for OSM data and stick with it.

My reasons:
1. We are creating maintenance and test work, for everything that wishes to use this OSM data - including the applications, the quickstarts, workshop material (which is not included on the DVD) etc. 2. OSGeo live is not only used at the annual FOSS4G event, but also the many regional FOSS4G events which are now springing up, and workshops and related conferences around the world. So the proportion of participants where the OSM local dataset is relevant is less and less, as we get more and more users.

Any suggestions for a suitable OSM location?
I suspect a tropical island might be suitable. One that contains enough detail to be interesting, but is small enough to fit on OSGeo-Live.
