-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Ha all, we are almost on 1.12RC1 status at gvSIG Desktop release and today at our TSC meeting we discussed about the possibility of having gvSIG 1.12 at next release of OSGeo Live.
At this moment we have a bug on the current 1.11 binaries as there is an incompatibility with Ubuntu 12.04 libcrypto/libssl versions so gvSIG works but can't load raster files[1]. We would prefer to solve this problem on 1.12 as it's our next release so I ask you for considering the upgrade to gvSIG 1.12 even not having a final version released. I want to add that, AFAIK, gvSIG 1.12 is right now at least equal or even more stable than gvSIG 1.11 as many bugs and improvements have been added so I think stability compared with previous versions should be equal or even better. - From the LiveDVD point of view, as soon as our debian packager (José Vicente is on CC) creates the binaries I would update the install script and do the convenient testing to assure nothing is broken. Anyway if it doesn't work by any reason we can go back to gvSIG 1.11 easily. What do you think? Shall we start producing the .deb package?
