Once we finalise the 6.0 release, we will create a 6.0 branch. After
than you can commit your updates back into subversion.
Hamish usually does this, and I expect it will be in place within a week
from today.
I'll make sure we send out an announcement when we are ready to accept
updates again.

I'm not worried about the OSGIS release, as not many
non-English-speaking Chinese would keep an eye on it. What's the plan
for updates after the OSGIS release ? Do I have to wait for 6 months
for 6.5 so the rest of Chinese translations can enter the recommended
stable version ? Or I can just finish it on 21 AUG and see the result
in a recent small-update release ?

Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we Italians only got 58.5 %
translated, so I guess we can still keep translating, but want to
