Thanks, Angelos
Somehow I had the idea that the previous remastersys method was still working on version 6.0.

So what option do I have to create a customized iso now? If I understand correctly, the build_chroot.sh script recreates the whole default osgeo-live, rather than using the data and packages installed in the current VM.

Hi Micha,

The method you are trying is the old one and it is broken since version 6.0 (last successful build was for v5.5).
This has to do with a bug in remastersys
See here for details:

Hi all:
I've created a customized VM from version 6.0 and now I'm trying to build a
bootable ISO using the "build_iso.sh mini" script. The process finishes
successfully (as far as I can tell) but the resulting ISO is not bootable. On
starting up the new ISO, I get the ISOLINUX screen, and the boot: prompt, then
it just freezes. If I try to create a new VM from this ISO, after a few moments
(in VirtualBox) a"Guru Meditation" error screen comes up indicating a critical
error, and the VM is unresponsive.

Any tips how to overcome this?
Thanks, Micha
