umount: /home/user/livecdtmp/edit/proc: device is busy.
(In some cases useful info about processes that use
the device is found by lsof(8) or fuser(1))

maybe follow the advice and put a lsof &/or fuser in the build script to
see what it does?
where is the script run from? if the pwd is in the tmp dir, is it still
attached even if you 'cd ..' out of it within the script?
