Got spot on the dev packages - that will save space. We'll provide another
version of the install after we're ran the apt-get remove and tested that
everything still works correctly.

We've updated Matplotlib to version 1.2.0 (previously it was at 1.1.1rc1)
will this cause problems for anyone? There are also a few other
dependencies added.
