Hi,
I see that an hour ago Geoserver was upgraded to 2.3.4 on svn.
I am going to make a nightly build with that setting and provide the iso
link here soon.
Since we are in feature freeze, it is required from downstream projects
to confirm that new GeoServer does not break their appllications. In
case it does, the upgrade will be reverted for 7.0 and re-applied for 7.5.
Cheers,
Angelos

Hi Frank,
I would be +1 on the upgrade only if Cartaro and GeoNode that have worked
hard to catch up to 2.3.3 can confirm that their packages work fine with
2.3.4.
BTW, Inspire plugin is already in the disk ;)
Cheers,
Angelos

Let me summarize the current state:
* geoserver is in version 2.3.3 on 7.0
* we would like to get 2.3.4 on it
* 2.3.4 will be build and released this weekend
what's new from my point of view:
* Translation completed for Dutch, German, Korean and close to is Chinese
(98%) - will come with 2.3.4
* INSPIRE plugin made it into release (since 2.3.2)
* several Security Subsystem Improvements
* SQL Server performance improvements
* etc.
I hope we get 2.3.4 on OSGeo live 7.0 although we already have feature
freeze. It would be great to get all the translated UI's for GeoServer in
it because all the translation teams did a great job to (almost) finish it.
Any opinions?
Cheers, Frank

Ian, Frank,
I'm not sure if you saw this email?
We previously packaged version 2.2.2 of geoserver and our status sheet
shows version 2.3.3 packaged for OSGeo-Live 7.0.

Now that we have a feature freeze for OSGeo-Live 7.0, could all
OSGeo-Live projects please ensure
their Project Overviews and Quickstarts [0] are up to date. This
should be quite painless for most.
1. Update the version number in your Project Overview (if changed).
2. Possibly mention a new feature or two.
3. Re-run the Quickstart and ensure each step is still valid, and
screenshots match the implementation.
4. Update status of the Project Overview and Quickstart to "7.0draft" in
our status sheet. [1]
Schedule:
* 29 July 2013 English docs complete
* 05 August 2013 Translations complete
* 26 August 2013 OSGeo-Live sent to the printers
