I recently discovered my OSGeo-Advocate profile had been removed from
the Advocate list [1], because I hadn't included [[Category:OSGeo
Advocate]] in my profile.
You might want to confirm you haven't been accidentally dropped.
Christian, who set up the templating system, explains the logic behind
this below. (shared with his permission)

Hi Cameron,
sorry for the late reply, I was travelling last week and this week was
the first teaching week of the new semester, lots to do...
But the alleged bug is how it is supposed to be (Its not a Bug, its a
feature! ;-)), like it is described under "Process for becoming an OSGeo
Advocate" [1].
The Tickboxes are for showing the "Badges".
It is more easy to render a map from queriyng a category, then from
querying a property (how the Tickbox values are stored), so I would
prefer to leave it like it is now.
But thanks for caring and notifying me!
Cheers,
Christian

Hi Christian,
I wonder if you would be able to help.
I recently accidentally discovered that I wasn't on the OSGeo Advocate
list. This was strange for me, as I hadn't changed anything in my
profile.
In debugging, I discovered that OSGeo Advocates now seem to be
selected by the presence of [[Category:OSGeo Advocate]] in the "Free
Text" part of my personal profile, rather than being a tickbox in the
structured data part of the form.
I suspect this would be considered a bug.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on what should be done to
address this.
Feel free to CC a public list when responding if you wish.
Warm regards,
