Just a quick update for those of you who have been trying out our experimental
RTSP->WebRTC gateway, online at
http://webrtc.live555.com/
I have recently improved the handling of DTLS handshakes, so if you tried the
demo in the past - but were unable to see the video stream in your browser -
then you may want to try it again.
Note once again that if you enter a “rtsp://“ URL in the form on the web page,
then it must be for a *publicly-accessible* RTSP stream - i.e., not one that’s
behind a NAT. However, if you have your own RTSP server on a private network,
then you can ‘register’ it with our WebRTC server using the mechanism described
here:
http://webrtc.live555.com/registering-back-end-rtsp-streams.php
Also, once you start viewing the video stream in your browser, you’ll now see a
link with instructions (and appropriate HTML) on how you can embed the same
video within your own web page, if you wish.
