Yes - various audio or video ‘Elementary Stream’ file formats, depending on the
codec - including:
- H.264, H.265, MPEG-4 video (filename suffixes “.h264”, “.h265”,
“.m4e”, respectively)
- OGG, AMR, AAC, MPEG audio (filename suffixes “.ogg” (or “.opus”),
“.amr”, “.aac”, “.mp3”, respectively)
Also MPEG Transport Streams (“.ts”), which can contain audio, video, or both.
We also have an ongoing ‘funded project’ to add support for writing
‘Matroska’-format (“.mkv” or “.webm”) files to “openRTSP”; see
