Sanchez allowed rail enthusiasts to sit at the controls of the train. Two days before the Sept. 12 Chatsworth crash that killed 25 people, Sanchez sent a text message arranging another ride-along and said, "this time I'm taking a picture of you @ da throttle!!!"
