Sorry..... Even if you could deal with the upside down controls, the exhaust for the microwave is in the top...ever notice the holes in the top/ceiling? Spills and over boiling would end up in the fan...electrical shorting and ejection of liquids out the exhaust come to mind. :>) Unfortunately, I have the same problem and will have to live with an awkward opening door and limited space...but..hey..I have a microwave oven on the boat!
