This doesn't address the original problem... But, it may interest
those with space limitations and and a need for a minimal microwave. I
did not see the details of the power usage or output, but It measures
just 10" x 10.5" x 12", opens in the normal fashion, but has controls
on top.
It is called the iWave Cube and I have no commercial interest.
