You've got a point.  Unless the outputs of the two devices were relays, 
open collector transistors or tristated devices, it wouldn't work too 
well hooking two outputs in parallel.  I can't find any documentation on 
the LDG part to see what pins it uses.  The Yaesu manual is extremely 
vague as to what the functions of the pins are.  I guess they didn't 
want you to use it for anything other than Yaesu options.  Yaesu is bad 
about that.
