As some of you may remember, was having program conflicts with a new
puter on which I had loaded X/P Pro:

Finally made the decision to re-format the hard drive and start over,
but couldn't find out how to do it,

M/S tech service advised that it can be done directly from the X/P disk
by simply booting from the CD.

So much for that problem.

Removed the old partition, re-loaded a new one and formatted the H/D,
then re-loaded X/P.

But wait, could not get any sound.

Screwed around for a couple of hours with no luck.

Time to call M/S tech service.

Gave them on-line access to my puter, put the phone on speaker, and got
out of the way.

Working from his desk in India, took the tech over 90 minutes to finally
off load some drivers that were corrupted and re-load them.

Problem solved.

During the process, picked up several tricks that may be useful in the
future.

So for now, both the puter and I are happy.

Stay tuned.
