I thought I would share something we just reordered and think is a
product
many boaters would like. Pure Ayre (Marine) WE are sold on it. I will
find their web page and post it below for more information.
When we bought Angel Louise we had a bad 'head odor' in the bilge around
the holding tank. We had consulted Peggy Hall and got some good advice
on how to resolve the problem, which we did. But she told us of an
amazing
product out of NZ that actually eats the odors alive via enzymes and
can be
used to treat stuff saturated by bad odors. It worked and we
continue to use
it in the head from time to time as a quick air freshener even today.
It is totally food safe and safe for humans, babies, and pets.
The product that Peggy told us about comes in several formulations to
market
to a number of odor needs, but all seem to work equally well. (We
have liked
the 'marine' formulation, but they also have them for 'Baby" (ie
diaper pails, etc)
and 'Pets'. It is food grade safe enzymes as the active ingredient.
