You will want to use a weak mix of Clorox bleach and water to wash the locker.
You can also use white wine vinegar (in the wash cycle) to kill to the mildew odors in clothes. It works. I find that it is necessary to do a periodic wash down with bleach water to keep up with mildew growth and odors. I hate mildew.
