ARRRRGGGGGHHHHH Mateys!

Sue and I love the cruising lifestye and see ourselves as like 2
explorers of old. Sometimes when folks ask about our occupation we
tell them we are Explorers. Other times - like the lyrics of the song
of Jimmy Buffet - I advise folks I am the self proclaimed President
of the Lawyer-Pirates Bar Assn. (just hundreds of years too late!)

As far as the anchoring restrictions, in the US, probably a lot of us
should be flying the old revolutionary war flag with the coiled
snake, saying "Don't Tread on Me!"

If we run into any of the those folks who want to infringe on boaters
civil rights they will regret it. WE DO MORE THAN VOTE. We are not
afraid to sue as well. I have been a federal court lawyer the last
half of my career and know how to open the court house door.

We will be cruising the islands in the Caribbean just evaluating
where would be the nicest places to settle, but we are a ways from
there yet both in distance and in years before we want to settle...

We think there has to be a lot of nice places outside the US. But the
publicized ones, like the publicized anchorages, often are not the
best. Maybe some time in the near future Cuba will open up.

In the meantime - If anyone tries to sell you a lot in a place called
Jonestown, pass on it!

Fair winds,
Ed
