Even floating polypro can be sucked into a prop if one gives it a chance.
Don't ask me how I know.

When offshore we tow the dinghy with two lines, one to each quarter and
fairly short about fifteen feet from the transom, but when are maneuvering
we shorten up considerably.

We would love to carry it on deck but as yet have no way to pick it up.
Boat and motor are about 300 lbs.

Our dinghy painter, floating polypro, that we use daily to tie to dinghy
docks (we add to it for towing) is just long enough to not quite reach the
dinghy prop. It used to be longer, but the dinghy prop taught me the
wisdom of it's current length.
