I recieved my absentee ballot monday.. returned it yesterday... just thought I would share some of what you will see on the Amendment section and ..............
There are 6 amendments... seems #5 and 7 did not make it but 1-4, 6 and 8 did... NO opinion about some from me... others I have a strong opinion... I am working from memory here.. not necessarily in order they appear.. 1. something about prohibiting someone who is _ineligble_ for US Citizenshp from owning, disposing or inheriting real property.. 2. same sex marriage yes or no.. and all that good rainbow stuff.. 3.so you add stuff for wind protection from hurricanes or some sort of alternative energy, say solar panels to your house.. prevents the local powers that be from raising your property tax based on those additions.. 4.makes it so that if you own land that has an easement, say, set aside for conservation.. the county cannot make you pay taxes on that portion that is mandated as set aside for conservation. 5* ASSESSMENT OF WORKING WATERFRONT PROPERTY BASED UPON CURRENT USE * This is a good thing for marinas..instead of taxing them as the same as that condo next door they will assess them as a marina.. or at least I hope that is the way it reads... maybe we can save some of our working waterfront. 6. local option for funding community colleges.. this is good.. now we, at the local level, can fund our local colleges and not have them have to go hat in hand to tallahassee for funding.. of coures there are, and i am NOT joking.. 13 pairs of peeps who want to move into a white house... includes the ones we all know and the ones we have never, ever heard of. I swear... I nearly peed my pants I was laughing so hard..
