My neighbor has set up sealed LED spreader lights that he got from the emergency vehicle store. There are two kinds, one that flashes and one that doesn't so you have to make sure you get the non-flashing ones. He had to fabricate a bracket for each one and also for a foredeck light. It lights up his whole boat and as icing on the cake he hooked them to remote control. The lights are so directional that although his boat his lit up like a football stadium there is no real light intrusion to my boat. He has converted to all LEDs in his boat and with everything onin the boat it the energy consumption was considerably less than just regular spreader lights. It was ridiculously low...but can't remember the number.
