You might be correct, Norm, but all the energy companies and utilities I deal
with daily in connection with my business use "kWhr" and "MW" so go figure....

I recall a long time ago I was taught that units above one were to be upper
case (Meg, Kilo) and less than one were to be lower case (milli, micro), a
standard that appears to be followed in many cases.
We wouldn't use mHz for mega Hertz, so it should be "KWh".

Actually, Norm, I believe the correct abbreviation is "aH" - I think <g>....
I think the reasoning is the same as why kilowatt hours and kilowatts are
shortened to "kWh" and kWh"....
But I think all are acceptable....
And my spellchecker just confirmed that, for whatever that's worth.
