Phillip, I regularly use Acronis True Image Ver. 11 to clone my 120 Gbyte hard drive and I just gave it to a friend for Christmas, along with a Western Digital USB externak hard drive. She uses the external drive to clone her hard drive once a week and although it takes almost 3 hours it still works perfectly for her. As long as your two laptops are truly identicle in terms of hardware this method will make them identical in software as well.
