maybe because a lot of places he cannot discharge overboard period? Electrasan's do not have a holding tank like my sanx does. fyi, they don't make sanx's anymore... mine still works and I can get fluid for it.. so for the short term I am keeping it..
In the keys for instance... discharge overboard, even by a type I MSD, is illegal.. so what do you do if you don't have a holding tank.. it makes the electra san a waste to own and like skip says it is a power hog...
