Since we are talking about world events and stuff...boating related 
since US Airways landed in the water and the Iridium collision could 
drop debris in the ocean (I know, a big stretch to tie to liveaboards 
but interesting nonetheless).

My wife works for Analytical Graphics, a 3D modeling company that does a
lot of work with NASA, aircraft companies, and others requiring space
based simulations in 3D.  AGI just created a couple of scenarios in STK
(Satellite ToolKit) that show the US Airways crash and the IRIDIUM
collision.  They are pretty interesting so I wanted to send out the
links in case any of you are interested in checking it out.
