We have owned ours for six years. Leave it on the upper deck, cord to run
down where the shore power hooks up. Will run anything except our AC.
Generally used to charge back up the batteries through the boats charger,
after
that we usually turn on the hot water tank.

I do not know what you expect it to do electrically. The 2KW is 120 V, which
is 16 Amps, that will drop down to about 13 Amps when hot.
Quiet and reasonable on gas. We have to carry that for the dinghy outboard
anyway.

During the winter it has been used to backfeed a house during a power
outage, Enough for a couple of electric heaters to keep the plumbing from
freezing
and still run the frig & freezer.
Hope this helps, Carl Hibbard
