Hello All,
My nearly 10 year old computer has been giving me overheating problems on
the few warm days we have had this summer.
Because I smoke cigaretts, after about 30 days the inside got coated with
'stuff'. To remedy that I bought fan filters and an additional fan and have
had no problems until thiss summer.
Now I have bought an after market CPU heatsink/fan, 1/2 inch copper
heatsinks (for the Northbridge and Southbridge chips), and I am considering
how to mount a fan to blow on the RAM.
The case fan filter has kept the smoke and dust from coating everything,
but the filters DO shed little black particles all over the inside of the
case. These vacuum up quite easily though.
Go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and search for fan filters to see what
is available.
