I have been to Morgans Bluff and Fresh Creek. Morgans Bluff has Customs, they
pick you up at the bar by the water and are very nice to you. Bimini Customs
can be miserable, grumpy, so many cruisers go here. The town is several miles
away and there is a famous Blue Hole. Heading NE by bike, there is a string of
small towns that look poorer as you go and I was recommended to vacate by dark.
Possibly this area still has people that have not readjusted to work after the
drug trade diminished. The towns closer in had fleets of Boston Whalers for
fishing and looked more prosperous.
At the water, they were loading a ship with grapefruit. I tried to buy some
and the answer was: "You don't have to BUY grapefruit Mon, don't you have some
bags?" These fresh grapefruit lasted 6 weeks in a cool cabinet.
Fresh Creek has a US Navy research station and a small town, people were nice.
The creek itself is a challenge to anchor as the current is strong, two anchor
Bahamian moor is recommended. The marina there was reasonably priced and had
free laundry. Several other towns were accessable by bike, 2-5 miles away.
Groceries in both towns were expensive, so stock up.

Has anyone been to Andros? We are considering spending a couple of weeks
there this winter. Will probably head there from Bimini, Favorite places?
Anchorages? Things to see or do? Places to avoid because of coral heads,
shoals, etc?
