Hi All,

This will sound like a strange request, but here goes. As you cruise up and
down the East Coast I would like to know if you have ever seen a store dog
in a West Marine store. I am a liveaboard in Solomons, Md and work at the
West Marine there. I have worked there for four years so some of you may
remember me and if not me the dog an English Springer Spaniel who is now 12
years old. Brady has been with me (at the store) all those four years. This
has gone on during the tenure of several District Mangers and a number of
Store Managers. (One manager even had an official WM name tag made for
Brady) Brady is now totally blind and for the most part sleeps quite a bit
of the time. He does have special customers that come in and make over
him (treats and extra love)

This week some corporate guru decided that he was a liability and he could
no longer come into that West Marine while I was working . I was told that a
customer might trip over him. My real interest is to see if you know of
another WM store that has a dog on board. There is indication that it is a
store policy yet customers are more than welcome to bring their dogs in to
all WM stores. I'm sure that I am grabbing at straws here, but I hope to
find a precedent for dogs in WM stores.

I really appreciate any information and as always all input.
