Re: my message of a few days ago with Subject "Fixing a Kiss" Enclosed is the reply from John at SVHOTWIRE.com, a the major dealer for KISS in the US along with my headerto him included with my the report on my KISS repairs..
Norm, Thank you for the information. Much of what you said is valuable feedback that can be used to improve the product. I've never seen a KISS with the wires broken at the thermostats, and so I wouldn't recommend that everyone take theirs apart to sercure the wires. As I said, I will start securing the thermostats whenever I have a KISS apart, and I forwarded your suggestion to Doug, the manufacturer in Trinidad. The thermostat wires have been solded for several years now, just like you suggected. I'm sorry you feel that Libbie was not attentive. She is not very familar with the technical stuff. Again, thank you for helping us (and other KISS owners). I tried to tell her of my adventures with my two KISS wind generators but she didn't seem interested in hearing it. Thought you might. There were several other wind generators at the show. One had a alternator very much like the one in the KISS but smaller. I was impressed with the quality of construction. Anyway, I though you might be able to have some influence on the KISS factory to improve quality.
