I thought being hooked up to shore power (and thus becoming part of 
whatever electrical funkiness the marina has going on) had everything 
to do with life of zincs. Were you connected to shore power all the 
time when your previous zinc lasted only 4 months? Is your marina 
especially hot (poorly or incorrectly grounded)? It would seem so, if 
other people say their zincs last only 2 to 6 months.
