Skip, The trade-off between price, attenuation, and physical characteristics is a personal one. While there are bad answers there are also several good ones. There is no one best answer for everyone.
You can get attenuation characteristics here http://www.therfc.com/attenrat.htm . Spec sheets for the cable should have physical dimensions, bend radius, materials, and connector requirements. In your shoes *I* would go for 9913 and new silver-plated connectors with no adapters and no intermediate joins. *You* may quite justifiably make another choice. Vern - the attenuation characteristic for that flex heliax you recommend is high. What does the cable have to offer that overcomes that in your mind? sail fast, dave KO4MI S/V Auspicious _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
