I hate to belabor this subject but I would not use LMR-400 in the mast.

Here is a typical datasheet:

Note the foam dielectric core insulation and aluminum foil outer
shield.  Those are not the attributes you want in a marine
environment, and it is almost impossible to solder connectors to an
aluminum shield.  The pros use only crimped connections with LMR-400.

I thought "Bruce in Alaska" on "rec.boats.cruising" gave you excellent
advice:  RG-213 if pricing is an isue, RG-214 if you want the very
best MIL spec coax available, or my recommendation, RG-142 if you want
small and light weight in a MIL spec cable.

The original loss specs mean nothing if the cable and its associated
connections do not hold up in a marine environment.
