Excellent advice, Wayne.  I would just mention that our Verizon phone was
not the GSM type and we were informed that none of the Verizon phones are.
Since we had just re-upped with Verizon, we weren't ready to switch
companies to get GSM.  That's why I suggested the disposable phone.

And, yes, I know that some folks have super-duper wifi systems, but most
don't.  That's why I mentioned the spotty wifi service.  As always, your
mileage will vary.
