Somebody should remind KB that rum is an essential ingredient in a rum punch!

The very few times I had any alcohol there it was rum punch.

It came straight from a milk-jug container in the cooler, where it had been
premixed.

However, there was a happy hour sponsored by the Indiantown Marina during
Regatta there recently, and drink tickets were being passed out with abandon (I
saw them pay up at the end; the bar tab was well over a grand); we were in a
group which probably had 3 each mixed drinks. While that was over a couple of
hours, as little as I (normally) drink, I was still easily able to navigate
after 3 rum punches.

So, I agree, the rum punch is probably lightweight for some's tastes. However,
I've seen Kendall make scratch drinks, and there's a full (and more, cuz he
just sticks it under there for measure) two of the big cones on a big-little
cone measure in a (also of note) 12oz drink.

However, at $8 per, I don't buy alcohol there. Just the food and a coke. Given
that I got charged a buck for a can of coke at a liquor store, the $2 he
charges for coke is reasonable, given what's needed to run the place.

I see his boat ferrying his fuel jugs for his massive generator, each and every
day, along with the food supplies and ice, not to mention his employees. So,
in addtion t having to buy it all (at the usual expensive Bahamian prices), he
has to hump every single thing which comes to the island, along with being his
own electric, water and sewer company.

By contrast, across the hurricane hole (north by a few hundred feet) at St.
Francis, an 8oz (not 12oz), similarly weak, rum punch is $10, and their burger
(albeit with fries; KB gets $3 for that) is $9. I don't eat there any more,
even for Trivia nights, other than hamburgers, and never alcohol, as the last
several of those which were "kitchen closed - prepared food" menu items in
addition to the exhorbitant drinks were about the worst I've had, anywhere.
When their kitchen's open, they make a nice burger and fries, however :{))

We're in Long Island; stay tuned for that log, perhaps soon (gotta scrub the
bottom today)...
