Er. It sounds like you're getting to the part where the CD says:
"Press Enter to activate this virtual console..."
You press Enter, see a message about 'Last login:...', another line that
gives you the date and time and finally a line with '#' and a blinking
cursor, correct?
If so, then the CD *is* loaded and you are seeing something *all* Linux
users should know about: the command line. If you can't handle that,
then you're clearly not ready for LFS and/or using it's official CD.
If I have misunderstood you then I am sorry, but you need to be more clear.
