Mine shows up as Kwin and this is what I'm using. When I open up the
preferences it shows up as blank and then when I click on the selections on the
left then the settings are shown. I haven't noticed any hangs or misalignments.

Hi,
I need a few people to test the Preferences window with the current
code in subversion. I wrote some new code for the Preferences window,
but it seems that this was causing problems. So now the new code is
only executed if the window manager reports as "Compiz". I have 2
laptops running ubuntu/Compiz and both were acting strangely - hence
the new code.
So please:
- test the current subversion code
- go into Preferences and check that the first tab appears and other
tabs appear when clicking and there are no hangs
- check if the window appears centered correclty
- let me know the results (positive or negative), and what your window
manager reports as
Even if you have tested before, pĺease test again, as the code has been updated.
