Hi,
the choice of formats for this is not really relevant -
resizing/letterboxing for encoding can be a slow process in LiVES. Each
frame of the video is first decoded to an image, then it is resized, then
overlaid on a black rectangle. One reason for this is that both the decoded
and resized frames (without letterbox) are then available for further
editing, so subsequent editing/encoding should be faster. But still, two
hours does seem like a long time for this part of the process for such a
short clip.
But anyway, I will take a look and see if there is any way to speed up this
process. It's always good to know what areas are bottlenecks for people.
