I am very pleased to announce the release of LiVES version 1.8.0
Why 1.8.x ? Well the last few 1.6.x release had been mainly about adding
new features (audio effects and data effects) at the unfortunate cost of
some stability. The big architectural changes are now done and the focus
will once again return to stability.
This release fixes a few issues with the multitrack window, and adds a new
effect (by popular demand) - image_stabilizer. This effect is specifically
designed to reduce the effects of camera shake. It can be applied as a
realtime effect or as a multitack effect. It is the first example of a new
type of effect - compound effects, which are built up from simpler effects.
It requires compilation with openCV for the movement detection part, and
will not work otherwise.
Apologies to the German and Ukrainian translators - your updates will be
included in the next release !
