i'm just getting in to the webcam stuff myself also, but you would have to
just open each camera as a separate device/clip in lives and then be able to
switch between them/add transitions? i'm not sure only have one camera at
the moment but i'm getting another soon so i can test.
have you tried recording with just a single webcam though? that is giving me
trouble, all the effects work fine and the feed plays through as well as it
can with my crappy webcam, but as soon as i hit the "record performance"
button and then try to start the camera, it opens one frame and stops
immediately, only saying "failed to record". then after that the camera
device won't work (lives won't play the stream even without recording
selected), i have to exit lives, unplug and plug back in the camera so it
comes up as a new device (ie keeps going up /dev/video1 /dev/video2 etc.).
