I just checked, and external audio with jack IS working. What you must do is:
- start up jack and LiVES, with jack as the audio player, and external audio selected in Preferences - start playback in LiVES, (making sure you are looping so playback doesnt automatically stop) - open qjackctl - connect the outputs of whatever audio player to the inputs of LiVES (by default these are connected to the microphone outputs, so you might want to also disconnect these..). - voila ! Note: If you stop playback and start it again, you need to remake the connections in qjackctl. There is an existing feature request to create the jack connections when LiVES starts up and to maintain them until LiVES terminates. I will look into implementing this for the next release. You can also use a jack session handler (e.g. lash) to make the connections automatically whenever they appear.
