This is a fix for the AArch64/Windows target, it's been in trunk for a month
now without any known issues afaik.
I just recently ran into the issue that this commit fixed, when testing with an
older snapshot, and found that the issue was fixed in latest master.
I know it's very late in the 8.0 cycle though, so if deemed not critical
enough, perhaps it's relevant for 8.0.1 at least?
