Hm, not caused by 7b6dd265ce8320fe, but possibly caused by my local diff in
comment 0 incorrectly computing alignment :) (I originally had `align` instead
of the correct `1 << align`.)
No longer happens with the correct local diff at least.
Again apologies for the noise!
